Lithuanian Easter Egg Design Using Nature's Colors and Prints
Saturday, March 28; Friday, April 3; Saturday, April 4  -  10 AM to 12 Noon
This spring, Valley Crest Farm & Preserve will once again offer its very popular workshop using an organic approach to decorating Easter eggs. Working under the guidance of Marija Aksena, a Lithuanian-born artist and farmer, you’ll learn how to use an old-world European dying technique using nature’s hues and prints derived from vegetables, leaves, fresh flowers, plants and more.
Fee: $20 for adults and $5 for children under twelve.

Pruning 101
Saturday, March 21  -  9 to 11 AM   (Rain date March 28)
Join the farm’s own Butch Sorge for a dynamic and informative 2 hour class on pruning. With over 20 years’ experience in fruit production and orchard management, Butch will reveal the secrets of the most effective pruning techniques, proper equipment, disease control, winter vs. summer pruning, and much more. You’ll participate in an interactive demonstration in the farm’s orchards and learn firsthand what needs to be done to increase bloom and production.
