Vegetable Spotlight: Kale
At this point, we all have been made aware of the many health benefits of Kale. It seems like there are endless ways to prepare it from casseroles to salads to smoothies to juices. Over the years, I feel like I have tried it all. My favorite way to prepare it? Microwaved kale chips. Trust me. In five minutes total you can have crispy delicious kale chips that suit even the pickiest of eaters. This recipe is so easy too! Try it out and let us know how you like it!
This Week on the Farm
I hope you had a great holiday last week!
We have been really basking in the sunny weather. We have a new regular volunteer who has been excellent help on the farm. This week’s activities have been centered around weeding, watering, harvesting, and mowing.
Our peaches are just starting to look ready for harvest! We plan to open for PYO this Monday. Come out and enjoy a beautiful summer day in the orchard enjoying juicy and delicious peaches. We are hoping to include some in next weeks share!
