Vegetable Spotlight: Patty Pan!
Patty pan squash, though delicious, can sometimes feel too heavy for hot summer days. A good way to incorporate this hearty squash during the next week is to grill it and use it as the main course. Check out this recipe to pair the grilled squash “steak” with some delicious salsa verde. Try it out for a new take on meatless Monday!

This Week’s Update
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out to the Peach & Dahlia Festival! We raised $8,000 in total for the farm at the event. This funding helps to keep the mission of our non-profit alive. More than 400 people were able to make it out and enjoy our farm. The event would not have been possible without the help of our wonderful sponsors and volunteers.
We are welcoming Jake Peterson into his new role of Farm Manager. After many years running the farm, Butch has decided to officially step down from his position into a more supportive role of the farm. Jake has been with us since 2017 and is a wonderful farmer and leader. Many good things to come.
Peter planted fall crops this week including arugula, radishes, turnips, kale and cabbage. He has been kept busy with harvesting and helping to coordinate our weekly donations.
